A qualified Chartered Accountant, Harshad Parekh has been a renowned practicing tax consultant for several years to Corporate India. Subsequently, he developed a keen interest in reinsurance broking and took up the challenge of growing his credentials in this sunrise field.
Harshad has traveled extensively and developed & maintained very close business relationships with Insurers and Reinsurers all over the world. Initially, he was a consultant to Scandia Insurance Company – Sweden (in Mumbai) for their underwriting and accounts functions till he founded INTERLINK as Company in 1984 with reinsurance broking operations.

Vastly experienced over 40 years in the reinsurance business, Shashidhar Gokarn handled Direct Aviation business and Inward treaty and Facultative portfolio as a respected underwriter during his tenure with GIC Re for 15 years. He has experience in international markets as gained through his work with Assicura Generali Dubai (a Multinational Company) for about 11 years. Shashidhar has been trained by the then Lead brokers C T Bowring at Tower Hill London and Willis Faber at Trinity square London in Aviation Reinsurance. He also has the invaluable experience of Lloyd’s way of underwriting when working with a Lloyds Syndicate writing Aviation Business.

Keyur Parekh is a Commerce graduate and has been working with INTERLINK for the past 16 years overseeing the Marketing, Administration, and Information Technology functions. An avid globe trotter, he has traveled extensively to acquire and maintain overseas clients while developing profound business relationships with global reinsurers with whom INTERLINK does business. Adept in handling mega, transnational complex reinsurance transactions, Keyur occupies a senior management position in INTERLINK. As a thought-leader in reinsurance, he is an active participant in global seminars and conferences, strengthening his relationships with insurers and reinsurers while maintaining contemporary knowledge of the international reinsurance market trends, developments, and operations.

Recently taken the responsibility as the Director & Member of the Senior Management at Interlink Broking. Current responsibilities not only include business development for Interlink Broking in their Treaty, Fac, Retro and Facilities division but also structuring the Dept, best in class process setting, global brand building, etc. Previously, for circa 5 years with Gallagher Brokers (India) (formerly Edelweiss) in their RI Dept and had been instrumental in very quickly scaling up the company viz. new business growth, new clients introduction, reinsurers onboarding, team building, best in class process setting, etc.

Post MBA, joined one of the leading reinsurance brokers in India K.M. Dastur working on Aviation Treaties and Global Fac business for 3 years. Subsequent 7 years were with Mahindra Insurance Brokers (part of RI Dept from its initial days) wherein developed Treaty & Fac business and created new relationships in the market. With pure reinsurance experience of circa 15 years, have been highly effective in setting up and scaling Reinsurance Broking Divisions for 2 large corporates from the very beginning.

Nihar Popawala has over 20 years of proven experience in the Insurance field in India. He started his insurance career with Royal Sundaram (RSA) and later had the opportunity to work with IFFCO Tokio, SBI General and Chola MS. Nihar possess impeccable hands-on experience in Underwriting and Portfolio management functions. Subsequently, he moved into the Insurance Broking industry and was associated with Tata Motor Insurance broking, Ace, and Salasar before moving into INTERLINK in 2020. He brings in rich experience as an Insurer as well as a Broker. He overseas placement and liaising with Insurers for Property & Casualty practice. He is responsible for after-sales and retention of INTERLINK clients. Nihar is an Engineering graduate from VJTI and possesses a Master’s degree in Management from K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies.

Arvind Bhabad has over 20 years of rich work experience in the Insurance domain. He has worked in premier Life Insurance companies like ICICI Prudential, Bajaj Allianz, Max New York, and Tata AIG. He later moved to the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) segment and worked with MD India and Health India. He has also worked with Aon in India. Arvind is an accomplished professional in Life and Health insurance solutions.
