Chief Executive Officer

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Harshad Parekh has been a renowned practicing tax consultant for several years to Corporate India. Subsequently, he developed a keen interest in reinsurance broking and took up the challenge of growing his credentials in this sunrise field. 
Harshad has traveled extensively and developed & maintained very close business relationships with Insurers and Reinsurers all over the world.  Initially, he was a consultant to Scandia Insurance Company – Sweden (in Mumbai) for their underwriting and accounts functions till he founded INTERLINK as Company in 1984 with reinsurance broking operations.

Shashidhar Gokarn

President

Vastly experienced over 40 years in the reinsurance business, Shashidhar Gokarn handled Direct Aviation business and Inward treaty and Facultative portfolio as a respected underwriter during his tenure with GIC Re for 15 years. He has experience in international markets as gained through his work with Assicura Generali Dubai (a Multinational Company) for about 11 years. Shashidhar has been trained by the then Lead brokers C T Bowring at Tower Hill London and Willis Faber at Trinity square London in Aviation Reinsurance. He also has the invaluable experience of Lloyd’s way of underwriting when working with a Lloyds Syndicate writing Aviation Business.

K. C. Sankar Mohan

President | Direct Broking

Sankar Mohan is a thorough & competent Insurance professional with experience of over 39 years in the industry. With an Associateship of Insurance Institute of India, he has vast experience as an Insurer and a Broker with reputed companies like Oriental Insurance, Tata AIG, Bajaj Allianz, Howden, Marsh, Acorn India, and Edelweiss Gallagher. He also has invaluable exposure to the underwriting of large construction and operational insurances both as an Insurer and as a Broker. With his rich experience in Liability programs (D&O and E&O), he has provided feasible and cost-effective solutions to large tech companies and major business groups and has handled complex liability claims for major groups with exposures in India and abroad.

Keyur Parekh

Keyur Parekh is a Commerce graduate and has been working with INTERLINK for the past 16 years overseeing the Marketing, Administration, and Information Technology functions. An avid globe trotter, he has traveled extensively to acquire and maintain overseas clients while developing profound business relationships with global reinsurers with whom INTERLINK does business. Adept in handling mega, transnational complex reinsurance transactions, Keyur occupies a senior management position in INTERLINK. As a thought-leader in reinsurance, he is an active participant in global seminars and conferences, strengthening his relationships with insurers and reinsurers while maintaining contemporary knowledge of the international reinsurance market trends, developments, and operations.

Shivappa Poojary

President

Shivappa Poojary is a Postgraduate in commerce with over 37 years of quality and exemplary insurance and reinsurance experience. He is also a “Fellow” from the Federation of Insurance Institutes of India (FIII). Shivappa started his insurance career with New India Assurance Mumbai and later has been with ARAB Insurance Group (ARIG) Bahrain for about 22 years during which he was deeply involved in the underwriting of Treaty and Facultative reinsurance business of major classes from the international reinsurance markets. In addition, he was also responsible for the design negotiation and placement of retrocession programs of the company.

Krishna Kumar V

  • Started career at Kuwait Reinsurance Company, Kuwait as Underwriter – handling both Treaty and Facultative. Underwriting – Indian sub-continent, Jordan, Tunisia and Lebanon for 4 years.
  • Switched over to wear a “Broker Hat” by joining Mahindra Insurance Brokers Ltd to reinsurance division and gained another wide broker experience of 8 years.
  • Last stint, Senior Vice President with Gallagher Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd (Formerly Edelweiss) for 5 years handling Business development and placement in their Reinsurance Department. Major responsibilities were developing new areas of business expansion India and worldwide.
Mohammed A. Noorani

Recently taken the responsibility as the Director & Member of the Senior Management at Interlink Broking. Current responsibilities not only include business development for Interlink Broking in their Treaty, Fac, Retro and Facilities division but also structuring the Dept, best in class process setting, global brand building, etc. Previously, for circa 5 years with Gallagher Brokers (India) (formerly Edelweiss) in their RI Dept and had been instrumental in very quickly scaling up the company viz. new business growth, new clients introduction, reinsurers onboarding, team building, best in class process setting, etc.

Specialising in Treaty and Facultative – Retro, Tailor-made Facilities for clients, Treaty Structuring and Pricing, etc.

MBA from National Insurance Academy with dual specialisation in Insurance & Marketing, along with AII and IGIE IG1 – Introduction to Global Risk Management, Insurance & Financial Services administered by AICPCU/IIA.

Post MBA, joined one of the leading reinsurance brokers in India K.M. Dastur working on Aviation Treaties and Global Fac business for 3 years. Subsequent 7 years were with Mahindra Insurance Brokers (part of RI Dept from its initial days) wherein developed Treaty & Fac business and created new relationships in the market. With pure reinsurance experience of circa 15 years, have been highly effective in setting up and scaling Reinsurance Broking Divisions for 2 large corporates from the very beginning.

Parag Kumbhani

Experienced in Reinsurance Broking For 26 Years handling Domestic and Foreign Inward Businesses (Facultative and Treaty Portfolio). Have Travelled to Various Countries (Indian Sub – Continent, Middle East , FAR East and Africa to develop the Reinsurance Portfolio and have maintained contacts with Cedants and Reinsurers. Actively participating in International Reinsurance Conferences such as GAIF, FAIR, SIRC AIO and Baden – Baden which is held globally.

Sabitha Nair

Industry experience of 17.5 years with reinsurance of 13 years +

Responsibilities undertaken are business development and placement of both treaty and facultative business.

Last stint, 4.5 years with Gallagher Insurance Brokers Private Limited, as Associate Vice President, handling business from India and Gallagher Inward and world-wide business.

Had been part of team in setup the reinsurance department at Gallagher erstwhile Edelweiss Insurance Brokers Private Ltd.

Started career at Willis India for 6 years, further took up role of Placement and Inward business at Aditya Birla Insurance Brokers Private Limited for span 6 years. Had served short term of 8 months at Mahindra Insurance Brokers Private Limited before the Stint with Gallagher.

B.com Graduate from Mumbai University followed by Diploma in Reinsurance from NIA and Associate from Indian Institute of Insurance (AIII).

Bhakti Parekh

A Reinsurance Professional with over 10 years of experience in the Reinsurance Broking Industry.

Developed good relationships with Indian Insurers, Middle East Insurers and Reinsurers worldwide as well. Handled Facultative Business in India as well as Middle East on the Property side. Experience in handling Treaties from India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, African Markets and Sri Lanka.

Masters in Statistics (M.Sc.) from Mumbai University, Diploma in Reinsurance from NIA and also holding an Associate Diploma from Insurance Institute of India (A.I.I.I.) along with being a Qualified Composite Insurance Broker.

Previously worked with Gallagher Insurance Brokers Private Limited for about 6.5 years. Specialised in Placing of Standalone Terrorism and Political Violence Lines of risks.

Prior to joining Gallagher Insurance Brokers Private Limited, was associated with Afro Asian Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Private Limited (Lloyd’s Broker) for around 3.5 years.

Neena Sampat

Neena Sampat holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and started her reinsurance career with INTERLINK more 14 years ago. She has the invaluable experience of adroitly handling various intricacies involved in reinsurance marketing and claims. In addition, Neena has hands-on experience in the placement of complex treaty as well as facultative programs with the Indian Subcontinent.

Arvind Bhabad

Arvind Bhabad has over 20 years of rich work experience in the Insurance domain. He has worked in premier Life Insurance companies like ICICI Prudential, Bajaj Allianz, Max New York, and Tata AIG. He later moved to the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) segment and worked with MD India and Health India. He has also worked with Aon in India. Arvind is an accomplished professional in Life and Health insurance solutions.
